We offer personalized on-site consultations to bring your perfect garden to life. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener ready to finally build your dream space, or a beginner unsure of where to start- we’re here to help. We tailor each project to your specific goals and vision, to bring the dream to life. We'll get you set up for success and on your way to a thriving garden for years to come.
The Process
On-Site Consultation
To begin our process: we’ll come out for a complimentary consultation to survey your yard; identify the best sun spots and growing locations; and talk through your goals and vision for your new garden space!
Design
We curate a custom design specific to your growing ambitions and cater it to your experience level. Once we draw up the design and are ready to move forward, we'll provide an estimate based around that. Everything is customized and we pride ourselves on finding something that’ll work for YOU.
Installation
Now, it’s time to start building! We come out and construct all of our projects on-site to turn your dream garden into a reality. You have a front row seat to the transformation. Feel free to come check out the process as it unfolds and ask us any questions that you may have.
Ongoing Maintenance & Support
The goal is to get you gardening on your own, but we know not everyone has the time or experience to take that on right away. For those of you who need a hand getting things started we're here to show you the ropes.

For the past 7 years we have been transforming spaces all over New Jersey and south-eastern Pennsylvania. Homes, schools, businesses, and community spaces. From single raised beds to full edible landscapes, we are committed to connecting people to their community, to their food, and to the earth; helping people to empower themselves and promoting long term sustainability - one garden at a time.

Backyard Gardens are truly skilled artisans whose work shows their passion and dedication to creating one-of-a-kind outdoor spaces. Backyard Gardens transformed our overgrown and neglected garden/chicken coup/rabbit hutch into the most beautiful space. Brian and his crew worked consistently through the winter, even on the coldest days, to prepare a space that will be ready for spring planting. They created the most picturesque raised bed garden and compost system with rock pathways throughout and detailed cobble stone seating area surrounded by cedar, lit trellises, and bistro lights. The garden design is more than I could have imagined. Brian and the Backyard Gardens team were professional, reliable, creative, and seemed to enjoy what they do and take pride in what they create. We can’t wait to plant flowers, herbs and vegetables with our kids and neighbors and watch it grow in such a beautiful space. We have received so many compliments on the garden renovation because it truly is a beautiful transformation and the materials used are noticeably high quality.
